Vermont RID summer BBQ for the Vermont Deaf community

  • Silver Lake State Park 214 North Road Barnard, VT, 05032 United States (map)

Free BBQ plus potluck!
Admission to the park is free; just tell them you’re there for the BBQ.

This is a fun family event with swimming, games, and food, and a great opportunity for you and your kids to get to know some folks in the Vermont Deaf community. The primary language at the BBQ is ASL, but everyone is welcome, whatever your language preference or skill. The Vermont Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (VTRID) hosts this annual picnic, and they will help facilitate communication as needed. Vermont Hands and Voices will be there to help families connect!

RSVPs aren’t necessary, but if you know you’ll be coming, you can let them know at:
