Please join Vermont Hands & Voices for a visit to the U.S. Coast Guard station in Burlington (near Waterfront Park)

We will:

• tour the station grounds and boats
• learn and practice tying some knots
• have a chance to toss the heaving line
• learn about the protective equipment the Coast Guard uses
• learn about water safety and life jackets
• try our hand at the chain pull

Meet other kids who are deaf or hard of hearing and their families while learning some cool stuff!

This event is wheelchair accessible and interpreted. Interpreters will also be available to facilitate socializing. All ages welcome! Please bring a life jacket if you have one, especially for younger kids near the water. Some parking is available at the station; let us know if you need an accessible spot.
