Join Vermont Hands & Voices on Sunday, August 2 for a baseball game with the Vermont Lake Monsters at Centennial Field at UVM! The first pitch is at 5:05pm, and the gates open at 4:05. Plan to arrive early for socializing and pregame festivities, and the first 500 guests get a Lake Monsters lunchbox for Champ's birthday!
The national anthem will be signed in ASL at this game. After the game, all the kids can run the bases and play catch in the outfield, and players will be available to sign autographs and chat. During the game, our group will get special visits from Champ (the mascot), and Dr. Skip Flanagan (Deaf adult and Mental Performance Coach for the Lake Monsters).
To buy tickets in our seating section at a special rate ($9.50 including fees), go to: https://tinyurl.com/vthvlakemonsters2026 or use the QR code on the attached flyer. (Use a browser other than Safari, which doesn't seem to work for their website.) Half the ticket price will go to VTH&V as a fundraiser, but these discounted tickets can only be purchased until July 26th at 5:05pm!
A free shuttle runs between 2 free UVM parking lots and the stadium, or limited parking is available at the field for $5. There are multiple food vendors, and no outside food or drink is allowed. For more info about location, parking, food vendors, and bag policy, go to: https://vermontlakemonsters.com/field-centennial/
The Lake Monsters are part of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League of New England. This is a premier wood-bat summer league featuring top talent in New England.
